Back in 2020, many social landlords in the UK made anti-racist pledges in response to Black Lives Matter. I've gone back to find out what, five years later, has changed:

I was raised in a monopoly and exquisite corpse house, but my kids like to play things like today’s fave, “heroes of the village a Minecraft family game”. It’s not that bad once you’ve spent at least 20 minutes setting it up and learning the rules

Rather than banning social media for under 16s, tbh I think the government should focus on banning aggressive in game ads and paid for options in kids’ games. Make them all play a Roblox game rated as for kids and clearly aimed at kids.

Meanwhile in the too online left, prepare to lose a bunch of people you thought were friends if you disagree with 1 item in the batch 👀
oh I've written about this before! one of the big problems with people developing those assumptions is also that they become entirely unable to then engage with normies who represent like.....98% of the population, and whose beliefs are formed on a much more case-by-case basis
The problem with social media is that you’re only allowed to hold opinions in batches. If you believe X and Y, you must also believe Z, which is atmospherically similar to X and Y and believed by all the same people.

If you don’t do this, everyone hates you. It makes actual thinking impossible.
