It’s hard to make friends as adults and even harder if you’re truly living out leftist, antifascist values by wearing an n95 in public.

But I just made two new friends by semi-shouting, “Look at these masked baddies!!” at two strangers across the street while we were all wearing 3M auras.

Well as part of the die-in I was laying on the ground looking up at this view as they beat the drum 375 times for each of the 375 patients being forcibly detransitioned by UPMC’s decision to end gender-affirming care for minors and 18-year-olds. So I might need a drink now.

i'm pretty sure the political lesson from Iraq is that we can say we're against war and march around with signs all we want but until we build a mass movement capable of directly interfering with the US imperialist project, our tax dollars are going to keep being used for massacre & subjugation
the political lesson everyone should take from Iraq is that you will regret being in favor of this sooner or later and the earlier you were against it the better off you’ll be

ignore the media frenzy and stake your position now, it’s the right thing to do and it’s the ambitious thing to do too

On this Jan 6th, take it from a person who grew up with a narcissistic mother: RESISTANCE isn't always combat.

Resistance is also choosing actions that give you your own self-respect. Finding healthy sources of information outside of them.

& fighting FOR your own ideals, instead of fighting them.

David Lynch spent the last portion of his life in isolation. He said it was due to being high-risk and unable to risk getting COVID.

He’s not the only person with disability or illness who’s been left behind.

Everywhere you go without an n95 is a place you’ve decided disabled people don’t belong.

Mass produced products could never compare. Being more intentional about where I spend my money and supporting small artists is one of the ways 2024 WAS a good year
sometimes I think about the microeconomy of commissions and get emotional if only for the fact there are many artists who are able to make a living based on the interest and good will of fellow working class folks who want to indulge in art. I hold onto that when I start to despair.

ABC, NBC & CBS dedicated about 16 minutes of airtime last night to the California wildfires without once mentioning climate change.

Since the news failed do it's job, here's a short summary of the role of climate change and wildfire risk:

That's how much Big Oil has spent over the last 30 years paying off Congress to look the other way on climate action while the planet burns.

Well, the planet is burning.
