Median bus lanes also can make TSP easier and less expensive to implement.
A textbook of bad street design:

✅ Curbside bus lanes, which never work

✅ Right turners can block bus lane

✅ Bikes and buses, which move at different speeds, share one lane

✅ Narrow sidewalk blocked by trees and posts.
I found this street diagram for a project in Las Vegas and damn its perfect for Aurora Avenue here in Seattle

Every time I visit family here...Im just shocked Holland is the same population as Sun Prairie.

It is wild how much more dense Sun Prairie is in relation. And I wouldnt call SP a dense city. Google map screenshot of the same scale.

Ahh Holland, MI...where you'll see three or four different ways to treat permissive left turns.

First time playing the Age of Steam Detroit Bankrupcy map. All three of us agreed it was better than the base map.

The mounting debt you owe keeps the pressure on in a good way.

My top ten 'new to me' games of 2025. Some good games on this list, but not a very deep year for new good games.

Not to many stinkers though either (that list will be out later)

Makes me want to do a top 5 TSP operations in Madison list this weekend...🤔
Although look at this, Ontario, proper transit signals... and it feels like pretty decent TSP!

I pushed the RRFB button for them. They did a good job using the crosswalk.

every single time there's a legit NFL football game between two legit teams there is a bullshit call that completely flips it and everyone will have to act like that wasn't the case

every time ... it's the league's biggest weak spot by 1000 miles

Good article, but we are confusing rest in red (which is a signal operation like coordination or free) with a detection strategy.

We operate many signals in red rest but without the speed based requirment. @davidzipper.bsky.social

A Bright Idea for Road Safety: Traffic Light Timing
Cities that adjust stoplight cycles to emphasize safety can curb dangerous driving without racking up big costs or triggering pushback from motorists.

When youre 4 and your dad is a traffic engineer, you point out that signals in Michigan dangle from wires...and hide type 2 keys in your room.

Here's another example of Madison hating drivers. I decided to drive today rather than take the bus, which gave me the ability to check signal timing on East Washington.

Stopped at 5/22 signals for 1:46 of 14 min trip time
Stopped to fix a signal on the way in to work.

Wow...terrible!

This is the most nonsensical article Ive read in a while. Let's throw claims out there with little to no supporting evidence or verification.

The article doesnt even address its own title.
