Ahh, I see what youre saying. Yeah, that could be programmed. On the other route, multiple lines used the bus phase, so we wanted to allow it as much as possible.

That could happen, but we'd rather any detector fail on than off. Especially exclusive phases.

No. Its a 15 minute service, so its just fir reducing 'worst case scenario' delay.

Is that a better way to measure?
From a signal/TSP operational standpoint, that's how signal segments are setup. So much so that several locations will have major intersections coordinated and minor signals uncoordinated for better TSP operations.

It was in terms of lack of station dwell time. The signal delay was the best of the 23 runs I've recorded, but not by a crazy amount. The last 5 trips tracked were all under 10% signal delay. So TSP and signal operational changes are doing something.

Madison. We have all door boarding and tap to pay. Its not the station dwell time, its just that we were so far ahead of schedule.

Yes. Bus is ahead of schedule, so rather than leaving a station early, it sits there to get back to schedule.

To be fair, it was a Friday morning which from my experience are pretty light transit ridership times. Our station dwell time +time stop time is only about 10% more than I'd say is normal.
Still, 56% moving time is lower than my average experience.
