Washington Post laid off many of their staff photographers, too. Which seems missing from a lot of coverage I’ve read.

"Senate Dems considered a requirement banning ICE agents from polling sites as a demand in negotiating the DHS funding bill. But that was not included in their final list..."

Crazy idea: Given what Trump's said, update the "final list" to include it.

To @washingtonpost.com ownership and executives: If you see a great newspaper as simply a vehicle to reach temporary power brokers at each end of Pennsylvania Avenue, move on. You're not worthy of the reporters whose work has informed generations of readers in the District and beyond.

Sometimes you have to say it out loud to appreciate how dire t all is:

The president just openly declared his plans to steal the midterm elections — in an interview with the former number two person at the FBI.
Trump: "These people were brought to our country to vote, & they vote illegally. The Republicans should say, we should take over the voting in at least 15 places. The Republicans ought to nationalize the voting. We have states that I won that show I didn't win. You're gonna see something in Georgia"

Here's my full 50-page indictment of CBP and ICE and decades of corruption, abuse of force, racism, and misogyny. I promise you — however bad you've ever thought it was, the full reality is even worse, deadlier, and more corrupt. This isn't a "Trump only" phenomenon:
Thanks to @govpritzker.illinois.gov for setting up the Illinois Accountability Commission to document the abuses of Trump and Stephen Miller's invasions of cities. And thanks to @vermontgmg.bsky.social for this detailed testimony about CBP's history and culture: drive.google.com/file/d/1o4z6...

This Epstein drop is HUGE and utterly disgusting. I don’t see how this man is allowed to remain in office. Where are the evangelical leaders, the soccer moms, the folks stocking up on eggs, the farmers, the small business owners.

Decide. Who are you?

The Case Against Don Lemon Is Junk, and Dangerous

Amateur hour in Minneapolis continues, even with Bovino out of the picture.

This is indicative of a broader issue with Trump’s mass deportation push; officers aren’t doing even basic investigations (to figure out things like “is this address a consulate”) as pressure to keep up arrests is so high.

Good luck gazing in the mirror when this is all over.
