Allowing a player to purposely cause severe injury to another (without consequences of any kind!) invites retribution, more dangerous play, and player injuries which ensue.

My guess is Wilson won’t instigate but he’ll look for retribution during the flow of the game. Ovi hasn’t done this much in recent seasons but he may find an opportunity to blow up an unsuspecting opponent in the neutral zone. Chychrun is another player to watch. The Jan 5th game will be punishing.
