If it stays still I will sew it, knit it, or paint it. Just for starters.

I am fighting with all I have to see democracy last a few more years here.

I am increasingly of the opinion that people who change menus and look and feel of computer software just so that you know it's a new version should be personally forced to play tech support to my mother for five months.

y! My son made an app! 😱😀🥁🪘🎶🎶🎧

It’s a drum machine and audio effects plugin for iPhone and iPad; it’s extremely versatile and extremely fun! You can read all about it at the link below.

Reposting to help get the word out would be so appreciated!
Thanks!

Someone very near and dear to me had to say goodbye to a beloved pet today.

When they left the vet’s office this is what they saw.

I finally found my husbands breaking point.

It’s me, singing about these teeny tiny potatoes:

🎶 ‘Baby spuds
doo doo doo doo doo doo
Baby spuds.’🎶

Who knew?

We have huge maple leaves that fall. When I say as big as a dinner plate, I’m not kidding.

My husband has Parkinson’s and I’ve got a dodgy back but by golly he blew them into a pile and I bagged them with my grabby stick. Worked a treat.

I am a genius with a back that doesn’t hurt now! 🍁🍂🎉😁

Marry the man who will sit through 10 8-episode seasons of the Great British Sewing Bee with you.

Ostensibly he is reading his book while I watch, but he was asking about godets by season 3.

(Don’t worry, I’ve seen a similar amount of cowboy Kent Rollins, chuck wagon and cowboy cook.) 🤠🍳🔥

🧵 We live in an over-55 community. I sometimes joke with my kids that it’s “like summer camp, with wine.” 😉 Many clubs, many activities.

There is another side, though, which remains unseen. Today I stopped at a friend’s house in the community; two Sheriff’s cars were parked in front of a

The world seems like we are going backwards at the moment, so it is important to take the time to spread awareness of advances.

Scientists have developed an enzyme that converts organs into universal 'O' type. This is huge.

Said goodbye to my machine today- while maybe still repairable, it’s a long drive to the shop and I was ready to trade it in. This was my ‘new’ machine, as compared to my 1946 and 1956 Singers.

“How new was it?” you ask?

“Let me check- ”

Covid 🧵

We avoided COVID for more
than five years. We were careful, we masked, we avoided restaurants and unmasked crowds. We still managed to go to Europe 2x and drive more than 8k miles on US trips.

Our downfall was not walking out of the room at “it’s just allergies”.😬

I belong to some “Frugal Living”
FB groups. People are terrified and wondering how they will cope once SNAP food benefits end in November.

If you possibly can, donate something (money is best) to your local food bank. They will take your dollars and amplify them into help for local folks in need.

Back in Dallas. Tried to go to State Fair, what a fiasco! $40 to park then 2 block line 10 ppl across to enter. (Free kids day) Couldn’t get to gate to get wheelchair for hubby. So we went to NPark Neimans and had coffee and a popover to feel better. This is the most Dallas paragraph ever written.

I’m in an airport watching a father ignore his kids. Their shrill whiny voices keep on going higher and higher as they try to get his attention. He’s seated far enough away they have to yell

I’m fine with kids on planes but if these are behind me acting like that the dad is going to get an earful.
