If it stays still I will sew it, knit it, or paint it. Just for starters.

I am fighting with all I have to see democracy last a few more years here.

In the PNW. I am Me, wife, mom, grandma. The older I get, the liberaler I be.
Will we have to negotiate individually for every mile of road we drive?

I’m still on Quicken 2016. No connectivity. I love it.

So much this. I would have my silversmithing shed, my sewing shed, my knitting shed, my watercolor shed and my oil painting shed. (Oil paints are a mess, they need their own shed) 💍🧵🧶🎨🖌️

Here to say Wool& has fantastic clothing. It’s soft, comfy, and versatile. Great for travel too. I’m going away for a week with 2 pair leggings and 3 tops and that will be PLENTY. No washing involved. Wearing lesser clothes on plane though; air travel is brutal on one’s
clothing and person.

I made an entire vegan Thanksgiving one year. My family really likes our bread stuffing recipe, so I veganed it up and put it in huge portobello mushroom caps. Delicious and still hit the sentimental spot.

I will only eat raisins in cinnamon raisin bagels. They are tiny little death globs in anything else.

Oblivious and totally dismissive of other people’s distress. Asking to open a window on long car trips was met with ‘but it will mess up my hair”.

Please imagine being a child in an 8 hour car trip with two chain smokers.

Kicker - my Mom would complain about my dad’s pipe smoking.
🤦‍♀️😣😱

🧵 Oh, I was never able to do sports and as an adult finally realized why. I couldn’t make it a lap around the playground without a deep pain in my side and wheezing. I had chronic bronchitis every winter. My parents never put two and two together. My main complaint is that they were 1/

My parents smoked three packs a day EACH. My father could not believe I would not let him smoke in our house or car. It was probably the first time I actually stood up to him when I said “You didn’t pay for this car; you don’t get to smoke in it.”

To say he was shocked was an understatement.

I remember quite vividly the first time I could read. I didn’t know every word, but suddenly some of the symbols made sense and became words. I screamed “I can read!!! I can read!!” and burst into my parents bedroom and onto their bed at what must have been dawn.

May every child know such joy! 📖😁

There is no clearer illustration of America’s mood right now. The good news is you can maybe just hang some lights on your gothy Halloween decor.

The Miracle Mile was in Dallas 50 years ago, on Lover’s Lane. I’ve lived near both Miles in my lifetime.

We actually pay for tickets to Germany to see our son rather than use airmiles, as the only route for us using miles goes through Heathrow. That airport is an anxiety producing shopping mall that also accommodates planes from time to time.

Last trip our luggage sat in Terminal 5 for 11 days.
