Not covering trans issues like this is a choice, and one that could still be rectified at any time
After Trump's announcement about tylenol and autism, the NYT assembled a panel of experts, including an autistic person and a parent or an autistic person, to assess and debunk the claims.

It's a good model. I'd like to see them use it more often on more topics.

it's that time again when I feel the need to remind everyone that Beyond/Impossible burgers marketed themselves as ways to get meat eaters to eat less meat. therefore they should replace a MEAT option on the menu, never the vegetarian option.

To quote my beloved upon seeing some of the sassy cardboard signs: "oh we really are f*cked"
Can't think of a better example of liberal hypocrisy than thousands showing up for No Kings Seattle (basically a festival) rather than the direct action at Tukwila immigration office, where about 100 protesters attempted to prevent ICE from carrying away migrants.

hot take: if you have the privilege to work less hard/fewer hours at your paid job, you should.

hotter take: if you are the person described above, you should use some of that reclaimed energy and time to do the work of community organizing, care work, mutual aid, direct action.

My suggestion: stop arguing with critics about whether and when violence/property damage is justified. Those folks aren't doing the work, their bodies & livelihoods aren't on the line, and they typically are not the ones upon whom state violence is being perpetrated, so their opinions don't matter.

-The US agreed with Hamas to release Edan Alexander in exchange for lifting the siege on Gaza.

-Edan was released, but Trump betrayed his promise. Israel continues to starve Gazans.
