You have a right to be secure in your person and property.

“Law enforcement” should not be able to freely smash car windows.
Your car is not your castle — it’s a constitutional gray zone. It doesn’t have the same Fourth Amendment protections as homes.

You can refuse to open the door of your home if officers don’t have a warrant; you can’t refuse to step out of your car.

“We’ll Smash the Fucking Window Out and Drag Him Out”
We’ve documented nearly 50 incidents of immigration officers shattering car windows to make arrests — a tactic experts say was rarely used before Trump took office. ICE claims its officers use a “mini...

Oh no. Steve and I never met, he being in Australia and I in Texas. But we corresponded on a near daily basis for more than 20 years.
Incredibly shocked and saddened to learn of Steve Dee’s passing. His passion for making games and sharing the craft of gamemaking was unmatched. He made a whole bunch of great games (It Is Forbidden is stellar), and in his memory I want to share my favourite:

A college sophomore at an Occupy rally could not have generated such a grotesque outsized caricature of US imperialism
Trump: "We're going to have our very large United States oil companies go in, spend billions of dollars, fix the badly broken infrastructure and start making money for the country. And we are ready to stage a second and much larger attack if we need to do so."

Interesting gap analysis.

We should do something about that.
this is basically ricks' argument in THE GENERALS: that the structure of the american military (and political leadership) has generated an enormously competent professional force... that consistently generates useless results because of a void of strategic thinking at the top

Just outright here saying that this was a regime change and that he is going to install a puppet leader.
FOX & FRIENDS: What do you think is next for the Venezuelan people now that you have removed Maduro so he can face American justice?

TRUMP: Well, we're making that decision now. We can't take a chance on letting somebody else run it, just take over where he left off. So we're making that decision

The President does not have power to wage war. He was already guilty of child sexual abuse & ripping the Constitution to shreds, & now, he’s a mass murderer.

Impeachment, conviction & removal are not enough. Trump & his enablers must be punished. No War in Venezuela. New York Nuremberg instead.
Per reporting- US officials confirm that the United States launched military strikes on Venezuela, these bombings serving as a hideous extension of the regime’s illegal murders at sea.

A wild bit of investigative journalism.

I look forward to others digging into this data to see how many elected officials have profiles on this Tinder for Nazis.

Empty-hearted boredom.

It’s a lack of vision.
An administration driven by greed, cruelty, and frankly a sort of empty-hearted boredom. The death of innocents so they can beat their chests and line their already fat wallets.

Whatever comes next has to at least look like justice. We cannot just turn the page for the sake of one party’s comfort.
BREAKING: Venezuela’s government has accused the US of launching attacks on civilian and military installations across several states, rejecting what it described as a "military aggression," according to an official statement.
