Not even half of my workload as a comics major in one picture

Best graduation pic I took this year
Just read the entirety of the glass scientists last week, so I felt like doing a mock cover to celebrate

They aren't pretty environments themselves but I still adore Becky Cloonan's outland-punk Southern Cross series

If you see this, share a comic that has gorgeous environments/backgrounds!

I’m definitely not the first to praise Gokurakugai for its art, but the environments deserve just as much love as the characters do! Their liveliness and attention to detail are unmatched.

Thanks for the shout out, Sen! Nice to have met you yesterday!
One example is @jcscottart.bsky.social, whose work you should absolutely check out. They've got such an intuitive sense of composition and page flow, it's so impressive. Check out their short comics as well as a partial adaptation of the novel Six of Crows: clairescottart.wixsite.com/portfolio

Books with Pictures (@bkswpicspdx.bsky.social) in Portland, Oregon is a GREAT comic shop, and its owner in @omgkatiep.bsky.social is one of the best. The shop is going through a hard time right now, and if you want to help BwP out, they opened a GoFundMe to help do just that.

To any traditionally published graphic novel authors out there:

Are you supposed to write a completed script before you query literary agents?

My research says no (just write a plot outline) but I haven’t seen a definitive answer…

I'm still mainly editing comics but if you are working on a novel, short story, podcast, TTRPG, or videogame I can bring my storytelling toolbox and lend you some aid.

Let me help you make cool stuff!!
If you have a comic you are planning to crowdfund, or perhaps you are a creative team gearing up for a run at Image and you think you could use an editor -- let's talk!!!

Artists developing OGN pitches, go check out Konner’s editorial services!

I sent the story outline for my latest pitch, and their feedback was thoughtful and motivating. After our conversation, I felt confident that I could make a stronger story by implementing their advice.

Thank you, Konner! :)
