I will not call posts here 'skeets.' Never mind that where I come from, that word would typically refer to a blood-sucking, disease-carrying flying insect, there is a simply better portmanteau to be used.

Bleet, a homonym for the sounds sheep and goats make, is perfect for posting to social media.

Only adults can buy fish? Is it beer-battered?

Seriously, I'm floundering here. I feel this deep in my sole. Is there a logical reason, is it a fluke, or is it just for the halibut?

NEW: The first two years of Massachusetts' millionaire tax has raised $3 billion more than expected.

And rather than driving the rich away, IPS researchers found that the number of millionaires has *increased.*

When prices rise because *demand* is hot, wages usually follow. When prices rise because tariffs raise costs -- a *supply* shock -- there’s no reason paychecks catch up. That’s why tariff inflation hurts a whole heckuva lot more. It's a permanent reduction in living standards.

We're doomed.
I spotted this on Mastodon and I find it horrible, not least for the speed with which this has happened.

In the Freeze era in 22 games against SEC opponents, Auburn only managed >400 yards in total offense 7 times and >500 yards only once.

AU scored 21 in the 2nd quarter at Arkansas this season.

Trump and the GOP have declared war on religion.
UPDATE: Reached out to the Rev. Hannah Kardon, a United Methodist minister who was there that day and has been active in religious demonstrations at Broadview.

“They are making it clear that they are scared of prayer … it speaks the truth that what they are doing in that building is evil.”

A fun question. In 5 years time, what looks better? The US’s enormous bet & capex on AI? Or China’s equally enormous bet and capex on renewables?
China has made cheap, clean energy available in huge quantities. The world should take the win econ.st/4oqFszB
