It takes 225 million years or so for the Solar System to make one orbit around the galaxy. Sharks evolved long enough ago that they’ve done it twice.

Oh this makes me so sad. I met Jane once, she was incredible-my photo was right next to hers at National Geographic (2 blondes with their hair pulled back). What a legend. What an example for all of humanity. Thank you for showing us how to be better Earth citizens. Rest in peace and rise in power.

Oxford is the biggest "brand" of the UK schools. As such, it has a lot more to lose when this goes wrong, and this will go wrong. Very wrong. For so many reasons.

🏺 The site has been building a new museum next to the cliffs (pic 1 of our visit in June during construction), with a viewing platform, so for the first time all visitors can look inside the cave and see the cavity where the #Neanderthal skeleton was found.
