Major renovation on our digital safety checklist!

Most of the content stayed the same (best ways to stay safe remain consistent) but shuffled things around and added dynamic clicky navigation to make our recs much, much easier to follow.

The magic of backlight animation: that pre-digital era when artists had to light up from underneath to create lighting effects through unpainted or translucent parts of cels, backgrounds and various elements.

Ok, finished 4th book in Game Changers series and it was my least favorite. My ranking:
1. Tough Guy
2. Heated Rivalry
3. Game Changer
4. Common Goal

Also, @rachelreidwrites.bsky.social has a bartender in no4 named Aram, which is such an Armenian name. Dying to know if that was the intention.

You couldn't pay me to click on an article by a TERF in the NYTimes about Harry Potter, but I'll note that Gen Z seems to be largely responsible for the fact that ~10% of the top 100 ships on AO3 last year were HP, so perhaps let's not take the suggestion that they're rejecting it at face value.

It's vital that my co-religionists stop calling everything they don't like or fear antisemitic. It makes it impossible to respond effectively to actual antisemitism, which remains a very real malignancy in the US and worldwide.

This kind of arrant bullshit makes Jews everywhere less safe.
I think it's really bad that the group that claims to speak for Jews at Columbia University is so grossly xenophobic.

Also - Mamdani did grow up in NYC.
