Some pretty volcano art for our feeds 🥰
Hi Janine,
I finished my Mt. Hood painting! I drew it on my iPad.
I ordered a print of it on Printful, on canvas.
After I get it I then post it on Etsy.
I make hand drawn marks on the print I ordered, and sell that too, but not on Etsy.
Here is 8x10” version, will be 14” x 11” on Etsy.

Geologists Dorothy and Keith Stoffel, with pilot Bruce Judson, make a final pass over Mount St. Helens. A M5.1 quake strikes. Ice and rock collapse into the crater.

Below them, the north face heaves—then gives way. The largest landslide in recorded history begins.

After having a great geo call with @earthjay.bsky.social yesterday, I am inspired to give this platform a go again! So here is my latest writing. Over the last few years I have been doing the classic newspaper column writing scicomm style.

Volcanic crises are times when communicating is fundamentally important but challenged.

How do you know you are looking at trusted content when reading posts about volcanic activity?

1. Always, always follow the official agency who has responsibility for monitoring volcanic activity. 🧪⚒️🌋🌍
