Danish Parliament Deputy Speaker Lars-Christian Brask:

"If I could come with some advice, it would be for the Senate & House to start to take control of political power in America because with this erratic & mad behaviour, you have to ask the question, is the President capable of running the US?"

I think a good strategy for your non-leftist social media presence (ie everywhere but here) is to give this photo - the remains of Danish soldiers returning in coffins after being killed in America's war in Afghanistan - as wide an audience as possible. Remind people who we're betraying

What the U.S. really needs is higher prices and more enemies.

😂 Reading this while thinking I cannot tell anyone I am starting a new project because, all the unfinished projects 😂.

This checks out. I have been in Colorado almost 20 years and I will never get used to how expensive pizza is, and also how blah. Originally from Ohio with lots of Italian-American pizza for reasonable prices.
In other news this was interesting to me, I had no idea pizza prices in Oregon were so insane, or that there was so much variation generally

So, if I'm following all this correctly, a bunch of internet shitposters who spent years screaming "don't tread on me" and warning about federal agents stomping out people's rights... have been hired as ICE agents to go around breaking into people's homes, kidnapping & shooting them

Oh great, they are channeling Special Agent Oso. Seems about right for foreign policy in 2026.
Framing a violation of international law in the way of “4 easy steps to optimise your skincare routine” is a new level of ghoulishness.
I don’t even know what to say at this point.

I’m feeling very Howard Beale right now and it is only Monday so that is bad. Does not help that I am ill.

Did we have to lose Bob Weir now?? This is the worst timeline.

This is horrifying. This is not something that happens in a free country.
"The move came after officials at Roosevelt High School said armed U.S. Border Patrol officers came on school property during dismissal Wednesday and began tackling people, handcuffed two staff members and released chemical weapons on bystanders."
Minneapolis schools cancel classes after Border Patrol clash disrupts dismissal at Roosevelt
Minneapolis schools closed for the week citing safety concerns after an encounter involving armed Border Patrol agents near Roosevelt High School.

Incredible that president has unilaterally invaded one country without any input from Congress, is saber-rattling with at least five other countries including a NATO ally, and Dems would rather change the subject to prices than jump up and down and say this is illegal and insane and must stop now.

I will read this more closely later. Lot of people called out here. I mostly agree with this critique of empirical political science but am not quite comfortable with the way the author conceptualizes ideology. But that is a widespread issue I have with much of contemporary political theory.

This is terrifying. Imagine what will be left of knowledge if these people stay in control. This is not something that happens in a democracy.

I took 10 days off work which is the most days in a row for at least 6 years. Trying to maintain a positive attitude but classes start on Thursday and so far this week I have thrown up and broken into hives while trying to get caught up. Send positive vibes, please!!

Just a reminder that many of the people Trump pardoned for rioting on January 6th have since been arrested again — for gun crimes, sexual assault, child sex crimes, domestic violence, kidnapping, and threatening lawmakers.

Their messaging is so fucking incoherent. Maduro was an illegitimate leader who lost in 2024, which is why we're replacing him with his VP instead of the person who won in 2024. We did this to stop fentanyl, which is why he's indicted for cocaine.

We're also occupying Venezuela via Zoom call.

Marco Rubio is reportedly saying Maduro will stand trial in US courts.

Which means it’s now the US administration’s position that US courts can hold foreign presidents, but not the US president, accountable for crimes.

Trump’s actions are blatantly unconstitutional.

There is no dispute that Maduro is a brutal dictator — but only Congress has the power to declare war.

If Congress does not begin reasserting itself — immediately — our constitutional order will be permanently transformed.
