Fine art printmaker from York, England. Dapple scrumper. Sometimes found loitering in a medieval hall and talking to strangers. Not at home to joy sponges.
More professional and businesslike on Substack and my website. https://linktr.ee/janeduke
Pinned
My occasional post for people who have followed me for printmaking (thank you!), explaining that most of the grown-up printmaking stuff happens over on my Substack, which is completely free by the way.

I don't think I've ever rooted for traitors before, but I quite like Rachel and Stephen and would be happy for them to win. (Fiona on the other hand...)

Let's have a vote count. Four for Reece, four for Amanda, ten for Yourself. Yourself is therefore banished. #TheTraitors

Oof. Had an email from Instagram telling me some naughty person tried to reset my password. Does this mean I've made it if people are trying to steal my account?

Oh dear, what can the matter be?

First 'Dapple Scrumping' of the year. I talk about how I plan my reduction prints and also record the process, as I have long since abandoned any idea that I will remember how I did something a week later.

I've spent the day photographing and uploading a lot of work to my website that normally doesn't make it online. But if I'm going to stop stock control
issues at live events, this is the only way forward. Anyway, you can have a gander here should you need diverting from World Events. #ceramics

I wonder if the inventor of WhatsApp foresaw that one of its main uses would be reminding each other that the bins still aren't back to normal after Christmas?

You can tell I haven't been being very social mediary over Christmas as I have only just found about Instagram limiting hashtags to five per post. So much for my carefully crafted list of every possible permutation of printmaking references 😱

AccuWeather is having one of those days when it can't bring itself to tell me.

Either I'm in an exceptionally benevolent mood today (unlikely), or this is a particularly lovely cohort of contestants on the new series of Pottery Throwdown. I love them all.

Was finally forced to upgrade to Windows 11 today. EVERYTHING LOOKS WRONG AND I WILL NEVER NOT HATE IT SO THERE.

Watching Ski Sunday with young people doing spectacular halfpipe acrobatics, and occasionally crashing, in Calgary where I broke my ankle catastrophically 8 years ago. (Not skiing, just walking on an icy pavement). My long-healed ankle has started REALLY aching. The mind is a strange thing.

Look can we just wait until the Winter Olympics are over? I'd really been looking forward to them.

I wanted

And which you
Were probably
Hoping
