Oh husband is keen to try that but I am resisting so far as we have a backlog of gritty trauma to catch up on. Will be interested to hear your verdict.

Also, moving forward a few years (in my case) much of the music of the early 80s and the New Romantics. Definitely did not appreciate the innocent joy of it at the time.

Alas yes, though glad to say husband and son have hugged each other and said 'I love you' throughout the last 34 years, and I have every confidence son is same with grandsons. It is possible to break the cycle.

Well quite - it's hardly as if our government reacted much better than the US govt. I think it was more of a grassroots response and my memory is of people pulling together and finding ways to cope quite quickly, even before the official lockdown.
