Heartbroken and horrified, and sending love to my friends and colleagues in Minneapolis who have been through so much this year. Big thanks to the mayor of Minneapolis for standing firmly for trans rights. Using this horrific shooting to vilify the trans community is shameful and predictable.

I said my main goal of this trip was to meet with Kilmar. Tonight I had that chance. I have called his wife, Jennifer, to pass along his message of love. I look forward to providing a full update upon my return.

We are deeply troubled to learn that some members of the Jewish community are calling for the deportation of foreign-born university students and faculty who they deem “pro-Hamas,” and compiling lists of those they want to target for deportation.

I know folks think we're being hysterical about the Laken Riley Act and Trump's EO's but ICE just did a raid in Newark where they detained undocumented residents as well as citizens (including a veteran), without producing a warrant. 1/

The direct correlation of transphobia, xenophobia, and antisemitism should come as no surprise to anyone.

Also, the antisemitic statement below is one of the most dangerous, and historically one of the deadliest, antisemitic tropes.

This never has worked - not once. Once you concede the the far right's framing on immigration, you're dead, because you can never serve up as remedies as vile or extreme as they can, but you're also saying they have the right idea. And no one will vote for that dead dog in the middle of the road.
