In case it's not abundantly clear, #ElonMusk is employing children directly out of high school because they have no preconcieved notions of professional ethics or even appropriate pay for the work they're doing. An economy more preoccupied with making sure more people are getting around to a second helping than making sure everyone got a first serving is morally bankrupt.
I guess if you believe this, why even bother measuring anything but homelessness? Is there any utility in knowing unemployment is low, wages are up, inflation is down, consumption is up, food purchases are up, etc.? How should we parse those facts? Ignore them, because we have the one true measure?
There is no meaningful metric of "the economy" which can be considered "good" while homelessness is increasing.
To insist that "the data show that the economy is good" is to admit that you are not looking at meaningful data

I have no idea how anyone handles having thousands of followers. Even at a few hundred you can get people building you up in their own mind to something you’re not then deciding they hate you when they realize you aren’t as perfectly aligned with their beliefs as they imagined you to be

I don’t think purists are “killing” the left, but I do think they hinder the rate at which the left is capable of growing

I have often tended to default to judgment and condemnation then work my way backward from there only after someone had proven they were more acceptable than I had assumed, and I’m starting to think that’s not a good way to be
