This isn't about "training issues." The murderer who executed Renee Good has been with ICE for 10 years, and according to DHS, the murderer who executed Alex Pretti has been there for 8 years.
These aren't "new recruits," or officers that can be "retrained." ICE can't be reformed. Abolish ICE.

How are these examples even helpful? There was independent cause to pull the vehicles for improper driving and driving without lights at night.
I'm going to start collecting stories from Bill DeSteph about instances where he encountered the smell of marijuana odor right before he had his bill to allow law enforcement to pull people over for just smelling marijuana.

After lengthy discussion in House Civil Courts sub, Del @marcussimon.com class action lawsuits bill advances to full committee. There was some taste for a more limited bill that only conformed to federal class action lawsuits--this bill is more consumer-friendly than that in several areas.

The Washington Post published a clear video of federal agents removing Alex Pretti's handgun moments before he was fatally shot. There's nothing in the video to suggest Pretti even reached for his weapon.

The law allows open carry in MN. Pretti also possessed concealed carry permit.
One can question whether good judgment to bring weapon into this type of heated situation, but he had every legal right to do so.

Dems should introduce legislation now defunding ICE and CBP operations in Minnesota, so they have to leave the state. One sentence bill. Demand an immediate vote. Maybe refuse to vote for cloture on any funding bills (or other bills) until a vote. Make the GOP Congress break w/ Trump or own it all.

It's simple: the DHS bill isn't going to pass if its lawlessness isn't reined in.
Democrats sought common sense reforms in the Department of Homeland Security spending bill, but because of Republicans’ refusal to stand up to President Trump, the DHS bill is woefully inadequate to rein in the abuses of ICE. I will vote no.
