@realgdt.bsky.social 's Frankenstein is not an attempt to put a 1:1 copy of Shelley's novel onto the screen. It's faithful to the sensibilities of the original, but is his own spin on the same premise.
Its message centers human experience of love and loss, and the release of generational trauma.

I just found out that @realgdt.bsky.social wants to retell The Phantom of the Opera and I couldn't be happier. It's one of my absolute favorites - and was so, before I'd read Frankenstein!
