Where do I even begin? Guillermo del Toro @realgdt.bsky.social has created an absolute masterpiece. I only wish I’d had the chance to experience it on the big screen. The story of Frankenstein has been told countless times, but never like this.

Worked on story nodes for Act 5 of Shattered Reminiscence this morning. So much more to go but it's a start!

Its message centers human experience of love and loss, and the release of generational trauma.

Niles & Wrightson's Frankenstein Alive, Alive! is a very different tale compared to GDT's Frankenstein, but ends with the same message from different lips.
The final two pages of Frankenstein Alive, Alive! The Creature stands on a cliff overlooking the ocean. "I knew I was not one of them, and I never would be. Played the demo last night. The premise is that an elderly innkeeper (okami) who devoted her life to her work dies with regret that she lived alone. The regret was enough to transform her spirit into a yokai (specifically an ookami).
