She is delightfully immature for the fun of it in a mature way, and emotionally sensitive without the hemming and hawing of so many hesitant babychildren leads in the genre.
The lead male protag is also just as amused with her as she is with him. Looking forward to the full release!

So what's interesting about this for me? It's a reverse of Sophie from Howl's Moving Castle. Rather than a young girl becoming old and discovering what's great about being old, Akine is an old lady soul in a freshly young body with all the sass and confidence of her former old age.

When they get inside, her okami (innkeeper) soul burns with desire to fix the place up as its current state breaks her heart, so she tells the owner she will work there in exchange for lodging, and promises to restore it.
