I wrote a little primer on rigid body dynamics in Houdini after seeing a lot of similar questions online. Bullet is a pretty deep rabbit hole to fall into and there's a lot of legacy stuff that's very confusing for new artists... hopefully this helps you get started!

I wrote a little primer on rigid body dynamics in Houdini after seeing a lot of similar questions online. Bullet is a pretty deep rabbit hole to fall into and there's a lot of legacy stuff that's very confusing for new artists... hopefully this helps you get started!

After seeing @stephanhelbing.bsky.social 's amazing hive presentation on slit-scanning a couple months back, I really wanted to play around with it myself. I finally had some time a couple weeks ago and experimented with @gurmoose.bsky.social 's awesome violin render. Thanks for letting me use it:)

In case folk haven't seen this, check out my One Weird Trick for a Viral Post; take a couple of old concepts (ASAD fisheye code, cops renderer, uvquickshade), wrap it up in new cops, mention the vegas sphere, bam. (hip and explainer in the link) tokeru.com/cgwiki/Houdi...
