Just sort by color they said :D
Over the years I’ve tried many ways to sort color palettes.
This is a compilation of different strategies: Hilbert curves, ΔE graphs, PCA, and TSP-style optimization: all trying to answer the same question: what is the “smoothest” order of colors? -> no clear winner: codepen.io/meodai/full/...

Yet another side project of a side project.

Mostly because I needed a clean way to export palettes from my other tools to Tailwind.

I’m getting a lot of feature requests for the tool itself: happy to tackle those at some point™.

For now, I’m heading back to Polaris. meodai.github.io/dittoTones/

There are countless websites that generate color palettes, but I needed a reusable package for my own apps. So I built dittoTones. 🟣

It mimics the perceptual DNA (Lightness/Chroma curves) of popular systems and blends them with your target hue → meodai.github.io/dittoTones/
