This has been my feeling over these last few months.
Man I remember being so excited when the US was picked as a host country and Seattle seemed likely to get games. Now it's clear there was no point in that excitement. These games were never going to be for me.

As always I am open to commissions from US soccer outlets on how the #JLeague has spent 3+ years preparing for its transition to fall-spring.
You’ve probably heard that the MLS Board of Governors is meeting this week to discuss, among other things, a move to the “European” schedule. My understanding is that there’s no way that happens in 2026, but there’s a very real possibility that it could happen in 2027.

I cannot express the degree to which this is the most insane football match I’ve ever seen. Dudes slide tackling in 6-8 inches of snow. Ball doesn’t roll. It’s Canadian Beach Soccer.
If you weren’t watching this you missed a goal off a bicycle kick. The guy must have felt like he landed on pillows. Incredible scenes.

This year's Sounders team was the most fun they've ever been & imo one of the ~10 most fun teams in MLS history.
I simply can not imagine not being entertained by the way they played (though I agree w/ you that they had a habit of taking the foot off the gas once they thought they had a game won).

So this is kind of tongue in cheek, but they had the lapses after Steven Lenhart's credentials were revoked for the remainder of the season. Not saying causation, but he is the mental skills coach.
