A reminder that impoundment and careless contract terminations are illegal, despite how accustomed to them folk are growing. And if DOI is RIF’ing people right now, that’s illegal too - they are under a 2-week TRO in the AFSCME case.

I've read a lot of legally binding trade "agreements" over the years. This is an MOU / plan of what they agree. It isn't a trade deal, trade agreement, or anything binding.
And the USTR fact sheet calls it a "new trading relationship for steel and aluminum", not a trading union.
