Only 2 incumbent democrats lost primaries in 2018, falling short to folks now seen as rising stars in the party: AOC and Ayanna Pressley.
I’m a believer in the Dem tea party, so called, but the movement to clean house would be a clear failure if 2026 didn’t far exceed 2018 in incumbent losses

The 2026 primaries could be the bloodbath Dem incumbents largely avoided in 2018

This is a shame. If we had the same amount of murders as we did road and pedestrian deaths, the public would rightfully go into hysterics.
A proposal to narrow the Alameda from four lanes to two directional lanes has been dropped.
City changes Alameda road diet plans after backlash (including from an Anschutz)
The city still plans to make other safety improvements.

Murphy’s right. Dems want fighters. If that’s a Democratic socialist like Mamdani—fantastic! If that’s a Dem moderate like Spanberger—great!
We need candidates that fit their constituencies, but at the end of the day, they have to be willing and able to fight Trump’s fascism

Populist Dems won. Moderate Dems won. We won in blue states. We won in purple states.
Maybe the take is that (a) people think Trump is out of control; and (b) people like Dems when we're taking a stand and fighting for what we believe in - as we have been for the last month.

Perhaps firing half of Virginia was not the most electorally beneficial move republicans could’ve made this year
Looks like the Dems will pick up 12 seats in the VA House of Delegates, which will go from 51-49 to 63-37 D-R. That's an honestly shocking result.

If republicans want to avoid the public backlash of a shutdown while controlling the WH and Congress, there’s really only 2 options:
1. Actually negotiate with democrats to obtain their votes to open the govt
2. End the filibuster, which is an antiquated tool that should be trashed anyway

Just endorse him, if only so that you can be an effective messenger on the news of the day!

2) And that he won't endorse Mamdani because Mamdnai has not done enough condemnations of anti-Israel violence
