The right wing were always the greatest proponents of cancel culture -- institutional cancel culture, enshrined, enforced, codified. And then they complained about it just as much, claiming they'd been silenced even as they moved to silence others. And now cancel culture is the law of the land.
After years of complaining about cancel culture, the current administration has taken it to a new and dangerous level by routinely threatening regulatory action against media companies unless they muzzle or fire reporters and commentators it doesn’t like.
