Yep, it's the same old "bash a beneficiary" or "lazy youf" rhetoric to gain a couple of votes.

How Peters and Seymour react when they incite political violence, btw. And there are numerous examples of them doing this.

The fact that this dichotomy exists, and that media and some politicians are buying into it, is a signal of increasing fascism, for whatever that’s worth.

If you'd asked me which celebrity would posthumously unveil a list of people she wanted fired into the sun, I would not have guessed Jane Goodall
Dr. Jane Goodall filmed an interview with Netflix in March 2025 that she understood would only be released after her death.

Lazy Luxon short on fact checking, again, before he makes major policy changes. The lack of "real life" intel is staggering inside this coalition govt.

Live feed day 2 select committee here⬇️

Why do Airports limited get 10mins of select committee time to support the #RSB but Iwi, Unions and others opposing get 5mins? What's the rule difference?

Very confusing or is that the purpose.

Imagine having to employ security to escort you into a Parliamentary Select Committee to present your Oral Submission on a Bill, thanks to the behaviour of a Deputy PM.

Dr Jane Kelsey #ManaWahine #RSB #SelectCommittee totally agree with her that it's all a farcical parody of the whole legislative process from the bill to the min speaking time at select committee stage. This is the demolition of our democracy by the 8%er.

How did banks pump in so much new credit $? Easy, we got banks to print obscene amounts of $ so that we could pump up house prices and shower older, wealthy kiwis with tax-free capital gains. The 1990s provided the template for the 2000s & 2010s (when racheting down interest rates helped). [5/n]

It's worth pausing here to see what's going on. Public debt (pink) was whittled down through to 2008 but private debt (blue) growth more than compensated. The expansion of the private sector balance sheet fueled our growth. Weird that this obvious 'structural deficit' gets no press, ay? [5/n]

I *am* generally of the view that the country couldn't have continued on the trajectory 9 years of Muldoon had set it on.

But we didn't have to become the country Douglas and Richardson made us, either. Douglas drove people out of work & Richardson made sure those people lived in poverty.
