KILL YOUR MASTERS - My book on Run The Jewels is out now through UGA Press: runthejewelsbook.com 👉🏻🤛🏿

Posts in English and Dutch.

KILL YOUR MASTERS, my book on Run The Jewels, is in stores December 1.

It's the story of a bromance that shook music, politics and the world.

I think it's pretty cool.
“I love liner notes. There’s few things I enjoy more than to prepare a cup of coffee, put on a great jazz album and then sit down with it all while perusing whatever additional context that slab of text on the back of the sleeve offers.”

More reasons to be anti-AI

This dude has some serious cojones:

“My only intention was to express myself,” he told me in his first media interview. “The party installs surveillance cameras to watch us. I thought I could use the same method to watch them.”

Writers, keep writing. Do not buy into the hype train telling you your job will be replaced in a few years. Those using AI are literally atrophying their brains ability to be creative. The future will need your words, your creativity, to function well.

Sous les pavés, la plage! (ou forêt)
Paris has removed the paving from its city hall square and transformed it into an urban forest. Stunning! 🤩

FFS, can we please not make the 3/5 clause great again?
Sen. Hagerty on his legal rationale for not counting undocumented immigrants in the census: "There's a constitutional interpretation I think that has been misapplied that goes back to slavery days and what portion of a person is going to be counted."

Amazing how the biggest and most dominating moral question of our time should also be the easiest to answer:

Should a country be allowed to commit genocide?

If your answer is anything other than an unequivocal “NO”, you are part of the problem.

Voor wie blijft volhouden dat tegenstanders van zionisme er simpelweg een verkeerde definitie van op nahouden; dit is hoe het anno 2025 door de Israëlische regering zelf gedefinieerd wordt.

Kudos to this guy. This is effective resistance. Brilliant in its simplicity. Don’t store the data and it can’t be demanded by the fascists either.

Basically the tech equivalent of ‘don’t tell me and they won’t be able to get it out of me’.

Ik heb afgelopen weekend de laatste aflevering van de de serie gezien. Bij het kijken van The Handmaid's Tale hebben we elkaar regelmatig aangekeken zo van: ja, dit gebeurt tegenwoordig ook gewoon echt.

Buried in the regime's political takeover letter of the Smithsonian is the worst bit. Unlike exhibits, which are non-destructive towards primary materials, temporary in nature, and reversible, the foundational collections are irreplacable. They want to be able to throw stuff out.

Looks like Jay-Z didn't like having his music used as the background for a fascism-porn ICE ad using Fractur ("the Nazi font") as its font.

ICE may be powerful. But corporate copyright lawyers are more powerful still.

Slim!

Whoever it was who said that Douglas Adams was the sci-fi writer who really understood where we were headed was absolutely right.
It has been brought to our attention that some sections of Article 1 are missing from the Constitution Annotated (constitution.congress.gov) website. We’ve learned that this is due to a coding error. We have been working to correct this and expect it to be resolved soon.

Same old shite. If you’re against the Iraq War you hate America. If you oppose the genocide of the Palestinian people you hate Britain.
Lisa Nandy, the UK culture secretary, claims that #PalestineAction "wishes harm on the British people."
That is simply false. It is yet another retrospective justification by this government for its unjustifiable ban on the group.
