Camouflaged as a bud that's entirely stem, because a pothead smoked his ancestors who looked less stemmy
NO WAYYYY! 🤯🤯🤯
Is this the COOLEST stick insect ever?? 💚
This mossy girl (Taraxippus sp.) from Peru was the most incredible phasmid I have ever seen, I could not get over how perfectly camouflaged it was on the mossy trees! 🌳

Star of Japan’s cinematic golden age, who collaborated with Kurosawa and played the lead in Kobayashi’s Human Condition trilogy, died from pneumonia
The Japanese stage and screen actor Tatsuya Nakadai, whose celebrated performances symbolised a golden age for the country’s cinema, has died aged 92.
Nakadai garnered more than 100 screen credits during a career spanning seven decades, but is perhaps best known internationally for his role in Ran, Akira Kurosawa’s 1985 epic set in the Sengoku “warring states” period that took its inspiration from Shakespeare’s King Lear. Continue reading...

This is a huge win for staff and students who have been campaigning for years to get this climate-wrecking company off their campus. My heartfelt gratitude and congratulations to those who have fought so hard for this.

So, I nominated myself for a SA Socialists' council position.
Not expecting to win a position, there's only 9 ordinary member positions and I'm up against ppl with extensive careers organizing but I thought it was probably good to have a nominee who's not aligned with SAlt or SAll.

Just watched this movie #SequenceBreak. For a super low-budget flick this was extremely effective visually and special FX wise.
Very Cronenbergesque, specifically thinking of Existenz but with arcade games instead of consoles. Lots of gooey, pulsing, organ like machinery.

The regime despises poor people, yes. And importantly it does not fear poor people as a political force. It's important to take both of these together to understand what they are doing with SNAP. They do not believe that they will incur lasting political costs for their current actions.

Yeah, this is one of the big benefits of decentralized microgrids. They are much less vulnerable to extreme weather or attack than centralized systems, with outages localized instead of taking out the whole grid.
