To busy bombarding us with ads about algae being "a natural part of the ecosystem"
On a final note, to their credit, the Feds waived a fee for access and released the documents without charge.

The South Australian Environmental Protection Authority, meanwhile, has imposed a charge of $1508.80 to access documents that would shed further light. It is currently under appeal.

‘Not an eligible disaster’: FOI reveals Commonwealth resisted new aid for SA after algal bloom killed 250,000 marine animals
The documents, obtained under Freedom of Information, show Australia’s lack of preparedness for unexpected and extreme events driven by climate change and the limits of existing support programs.

Victoria will be akin to Queensland when it changes youth justice laws to "adult time for violent crime". Advocates say the prison system isn't built to treat the issues kids have.

Well, it looks like my nomination was accepted. My candidate statement is up with the other statements.

Field has broadened out now, 12 candidates for Ordinary Council members. So, no win by default.

So, I got a message from the VS/Federal branch today, bemoaning SAll.

Tbf factionalism is stupid, divides resources and members, and the party has rectified most of their complaints in regards to internal groupings using party resources to organize outside of the party.

Said it before, will say it again.

Youth justice system just compounds adverse childhood experiences, neurodevelopemental issues and learning/behavioural disorders.

As well as, entrenches kids in criminogenic relationships and environments(delinquent peers, poverty).

- Expensive enough to justify a shitload of subsidies
