Give the patient the power to do what? Buy a junk insurance? Because unless they are planning to give everyone $60,000 a year, it’s not gonna work. And I am not even talking about insurances being free again to deny claims, refuse coverage for preexisting conditions, etc.,etc.
Tell me you have never been involved in the women in your life shopping for things like hair and skin care without telling me you have never been involved in the women in your life shopping for things like hair and skin care.
Cassidy: "If she goes and gets 2 types of shampoo & one is a dollar cheaper, she'll get the cheaper one & the other lowers their price. Once you give her the power of making the decision, she's gonna shop -- that begins to save her money and squeezes waste out of the healthcare system."

Maybe no one knows what health reform Repubs will offer, but I know for sure it will suck big time! Prepare to die!
To quote Jeff Young, "just in time!"

There is no evidence that a consensus on health reform exists within the Republican caucus — we still don't have a clear picture of what the HSA-based alternative to extending the enhanced subsidies is. (A Bill Cassidy bill? A Rick Scott bill? No one knows!)
White House plans to release health bill and backs reconciliation
Deputy chief of staff James Blair pointed to the fast-track process for health and tariff legislation.

WHAT. THE. FUCK?! He should be sedated and kept in a padded room. Or more likely in a padded cell.
Trump: "They had the line. The people had no idea. So I made the french fries. The guy was really good. He had a great wrist. He's going like, 'Sir -- nyha. Hhhhuh.' It was not that easy but I got it sort of finally. Not the greatest. But pouring it in."

Who is standing for them by surrendering. Interesting concept.
Kaine on why he thinks just getting a vote on healthcare is a win: "We're the minority party, but everybody will get to see who is standing for them when it comes to lowering their healthcare costs"

He keeps finding new and creative ways to embarrass himself. I am impressed.
Amazing how fail upwards politicians fail harder when ACTUALLY pressed on their bullshit. If every media outlet pressed them, we'd rarely see failed politicians in politics.

Does Cuomo really think anyone cares if he moves to Florida? He should start packing his bags…
The fact that Andrew Coumo would EVER consider moving to Florida is even more evidence that he has NO business ever being allowed to be Mayor of New York City.
More incentive

BREAKING:

Jack Smith is requesting that Congress and the Justice Dept. let him testify in public.

In new letters to the House and Senate Judiciary Committees, Smith says he wants to testify "in open hearings" because of "the many mischaracterizations" around his investigations.

Technically, garden gnome Mike is not wrong calling what they do to Medicaid “real reform”. Just a teeny-tiny correction though: they are not “fighting FOR healthcare”, they are fighting healthcare.
Mike Johnson: "We're fighting for healthcare as well. Not just in word but in deed. We put in the one big beautiful bill, real reforms to Medicaid to make it work better."

(The bill in fact cuts nearly $1 trillion from Medicaid.)

They don’t even try to make their lies less ridiculous. Ok, “lowering” prices of drugs by 100% is not lowering, but making them free. Lowering by 200-300% means what? Giving folks cash to go with free drugs? Sign me up!

I don’t advocate violence of any kind, political or otherwise, on any side.

I also won’t be gaslit into believing a foul hate-monger was simply a regular guy with different views.

BREAKING: By an apparent 6–3 vote, the Supreme Court halts an injunction that had prevented immigration agents from racially profiling Latinos in central California.

Sotomayor, dissenting, says the decision is "unconscionably irreconcilable with our nation's constitutional guarantees."
