Was it the NYTimes that set the standard for calling Israeli-perpetrated, deliberately planned massacres “tests” of ceasefire agreements? How does someone with a brain write a headline like this?

Peace out Congress and thanks for the money.

New: Reuters has tallied job losses, suspensions and investigations stemming from the reaction to Charlie Kirk's Sept. 10 assassination. Its findings: More than 600 Americans have been punished, and the figure is likely to be an under-count.

The whole point of all that noise about pushing for American energy independence, which we now basically have, was that we would no longer be so economically dependent on Middle Eastern oil. That was the pitch to people. OK, we're now a net energy exporter. Mission accomplished! Cut them loose.

Labour Ministry will fine companies up to 5% of operating profit if they have 3 three deaths in a year.

New law: employers can get a 1-year jail term for a single death.

If the NYT told the story of the homeless teenager exploited by Matt Gaetz with even half as much empathy as it tells the story of Olivia Nuzzi, it would be in danger of committing journalism.

It’s clear when the paper’s Politics Knowers think something is important, journalistic standards are no obstacle. They find a way to get that thing on the front page nonstop, whether it’s “reporting the controversy,” repeating right-wing info dumps, or meta-coverage of how it’s affecting politics

And on top of siphoning money away from public schools, they also siphon away trust--their existence conveys to families that neighborhood public schools aren't good enough.
Getting annoyed listening to charter school activists lie again and again that charter schools are public schools.

They are not.

They are publicly funded private schools that siphon money away from public schools and produce no better results.
