The IDF didn't just strike near a hospital. They systematically targeted and destroyed the equipment at the only cancer treatment facility in all of Gaza.

Let's be perfectly clear about the depths of evil we are witnessing. This is your US tax dollars at work.

Hey! Former Starbucks worker here (still have scars from 2nd degree burns), please don't cross this picket line. Starbucks is a chronic union-buster. There are so many wonderful local coffee shops to support instead. Make your support for Union Starbucks stores known until *& then after* a strike! 🖤
BREAKING: After months of stonewalling by Starbucks, unionized baristas just voted 92% to authorize a ULP strike unless Starbucks finalizes fair contracts & stops union busting.

If forced, our baristas will strike in dozens of cities on November 13 – the company's busiest sales day of the year.
Starbucks unionized workers say they'll strike on Nov. 13 if coffee giant doesn't finalize contract
Union members say they are ready to strike on the chain's Red Cup Day if Starbucks doesn't finalize a contract with their union by then.

l look forward to hating on Mayor Mamdani. I know the veneer of progressivism will come off sooner than I want or expect. But for tonight I'm so grateful to have a Mayor

After January 6, 2021, Amazon, Microsoft, Google, and Comcast publicly pledged to stop donating to politicians who sought to undermine the legitimate results of the 2020 presidential election.

In 2025, these companies have stopped worrying about democracy and are buying Trump a ballroom.
These Corporations Stopped Worrying About Democracy and Bought Trump a Ballroom
It has been nearly five years since the 2020 presidential election, but President Trump continues to baselessly insist it was stolen.

Whatever stage of capitalism this is, I hate it. Can we please make this stop?

I don’t want to invest like the oligarchy. I don’t want Congress trading stocks on inside info. I don’t want to live in a world where instead of dismantling awful systems, we tell people they should make money off them.

If I were a young person currently trying to figure out antifascist action, I would focus on creating a food specific mutual aid project in my direct community. It would be a good way to connect with neighbors and to offer needed sustenance.

In the wake of SNAP cuts, feeding hungry Illinoisans falls more than ever on food pantries
As food prices increase and benefits diminish, nonprofits have to pick up the slack.

Walking only blocks from Stonewall, AIDS Memorial and the Center ystdy and thinking that the West Village / Chelsea is still a gayborhood but a specifically yt, cis, wealthy gayborhood. And was hit with the sudden realization that yes this area remains gay but it not even close to queer.

Not taking anything away from Senator Padilla because he was treated atrociously

But I JUST want to remind everyone that the Congresswoman LaMonica McIver, a Black woman, was just indicted for just asking questions at an ICE detention center in her state

Keep that same energy of support for her

Try not to get too invested in electoral politics but have to say this: Friends don’t let friends rank Cuomo!!!

Pay attention to what works. Notice why it works. Share what works with others.

Seeing lots of tactics (from direct action to boycotts) that are working. Wondering if I can enlist some more folks to share and reshare these tips (for educational purposes only) with the people you know.

Please for the love of NYC, do NOT rank Cuomo!!!
I'm imagining ICE doing to NYC what it's doing to LA — and the people of NYC responding the way people are in LA — and it all happening under Mayor Cuomo. He'll side with ICE, DHS and, of course, the NYPD. This man, who hates the city and doesn't live here, can not become mayor. Don't rank him.

People trying to protect their neighbors are not the problem. The fact that some of you are thinking that way reflects a level of psychological capture & submission to fascism that you should interrogate. If they want an "excuse" to do something, they'll create one. The good guys aren't the problem.

There’s been a huge uptick in state violence & it’s going to continue. Check on your ppl. Ask for the care you need. Set a pace you can maintain. Get into the habit of resting and returning to the work. We need everyone but not all in the same way or at the same time. And for 🦊 sake mask tf up!
If you can’t take on sig known risk, there’s need for jail support @7th precinct (Delaney/Pitt) and aftercare for all over the coming days..weeks.

That last part goes for non-NYErs too.

"Ethnic cleansing has become the official policy of Israel. The nation’s leaders are admitting it, without apology. There was barely a pretense before. But now there’s not even that. And these admissions, combined with mass killing on the ground, point to something even more horrific: genocide."
Opinion | A genocide is happening in Gaza. We should say so.
We can no longer hide the uncomfortable truths of Israel’s destruction of Gaza.

Update: reports today that multiple legal observers were arrested today in New York at two separate immigration courts, for allegedly “obstructing” ICE.

Not only that, apparently some immigration courts are barring the public from attending hearings.

This mess is escalating fast.
Immigration court arrests continued across the nation yesterday (and are likely ongoing today).

Yesterday, in NYC, 30 ICE officers swarmed the immigration court, holding lists of names of people to arrest. All were dutifully attending their immigration hearings and many had pending asylum claims.

Universities are not actually extensions of political agendas in a free society (or shouldn't be), so having this be the baseline is incredibly disturbing and a big red flag.
Linda McMahon: "Universities should continue to be able to do research as long as they're abiding by the laws and in sync, I think, with the administration and what the administration is trying to accomplish."

We should have a memorial day for COVID. It is horrific that we as a society have done virtually nothing to remember the millions who have died. Rushing to forget what happened also makes it much more likely that we will continue to repeat our deadly mistakes.

This is what normalization looks like.

People think propaganda will be purely positive coverage of an authoritarian leader. But it can also be: “This is bad, but no one cares, so it’s the way things are now.”

It’s meant to make you feel hopeless and demobilize opposition.
