The liberal/democratic establishment doesn’t want to win so much as they want to maintain the capitalist status quo. If they wanted to win they’d embrace democratic socialism. That’s what wins.

The bigots are loud, but they are generally outnumbered. It’s important that we are vocal in supporting 2SLGTBQIA+ people. Particularly trans youth who are facing increasing legislative discrimination across the country.

Like everyone else, I’m so shattered by the continuing news about the Lapu Lapu festival, but everytime Ken Sim or some conservative trots out the term “mental health crisis” it feels like a misdirection. Where were the police controlling entry to the festival? Why weren’t there better barriers?

Question - why were the polls ahead of the Canadian election so wrong? They were projecting a pretty easy path to majority. But that’s not what happened.

My wish before the next election: find a way to help Canadians understand that tax cuts are the LEAST effective measure reduce cost of living. Taxes let the gov buy services and improvements we need in bulk. It’s cheaper to buy things in bulk than for us to try to pay for things individually.
