Today Council unanimously supported my amendment in today’s budget deliberations. We’ve reallocated $800,000 from the City’s existing budget to make sure Community Centre recreation fees stay at 0% increase in 2026. This means admission, passes, lessons, programs, and permits remain affordable.

Great move by Surrey, and we especially like the part about lobbying the Province to lower the default limit so cities don't need to put up a thousand sign posts every time they want to lower limits themselves!
