"It's clear that the EU is committed to at least a generous 1.6 degrees with its emissions targets, and perhaps even slightly more than 1.8 degrees, depending on the pathway it uses to achieve these goals. None of these pathways are aligned with the 1.5-degree target."

So wichtig.

Check out this awesome rear bike light mod!

Vistatrekker on Instagram is a bus driver who documents his cycle commuting in Ireland.

He uses a camera tripod pole and has attached two lights at the ends for improved range estimation for drivers.

I might make it bendy but I really like this!

Bottom trawling isn’t just an ocean issue, it’s a climate one too. It destroys carbon-rich seabeds & weakens the ocean's resilience. Banning it in marine protected areas is vital for our seas & in the fight against climate breakdown ✊🌎 #COP30

Tackling the carbon emissions of bottom trawling is a fast and effective way to forestall climate change while protecting our precious marine ecosystems. But despite the minimal returns, governments across Europe keep subsidising the practice

Astonishing video, worth watching in full.
While agreeing in the round,
I've found this (below) both reassuring and highlighting of the need for constant vigilance. There is no perfect end state. See if you can see where the 'thousand year reich' occurs (also, that Roman Empire lasted quite a while).
