Because the transition to secondary school is famously a really easy time for everyone involved 🙃
From the BBC. It's happening. There will doubtless be good things too, but this is quite the move from a govt in such a fragile position. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

What worries me most about this is that it is likely to be autistic kids who will lose support at the most crucially needed time.

Those (often girls) who are perceived to be "fine in school" at primary because of the consistency and sense of safety. Then the transition to secondary is devastating.

An amazing charity shop book haul this morning! You rarely find graphic novels/anthologies but I struck gold and came home with one for each of the family 😍

EXCLUSIVE: Reform UK just broke electoral law in Gorton and Denton.

The party confirmed they sent out campaign materials without proper party imprint, something it insists was a mistake.

New challenge for locals is to feed increasingly absurd ways to pronounce 'Levenshulme' to all the first-time visiting journalists and political campaigners.

You're all focused on the first sentence, but I want to talk about the second sentence, featuring what might be the weakest ever constituency link.

Looks like we're losing this byelection then. And as a constituent of Gorton & Denton, I absolutely do not want a Reform MP.

Quite glad that the big story in British politics is whether Andy Burnham will apply to stand in a by-election and not people being gunned down by state militias.

Solidarity with Minnesotans resisting this barbarity.

Fun fact: Andy Burnham once dropped into one of my lessons when I was teaching Y10 A Christmas Carol.

Grim.
From the i's well-briefed breakdown of SEND changes: our increasingly nuanced, complex understanding of psychology & child development reduced to four "tiers" with an ejector-seat fifth that will seemingly involve actual rights. Humanity carved up by bureaucracy: No-one will like this system
