I don’t know why, but I was thinking about what my characters might sound like, and I think I like the idea of Tori having a sorta scratchy, energetic voice. Think, like, Ash from Pokémon or similar

I think it would match their goofy personality

I'm getting endlessly frustrated by people saying we hate fascism but not caring about the primary victims of that violence.

Genuinely in awe at how quickly this has gone from a "a few of us are kinda pissy about this" to "we're a Real Org, with Increasingly More Funding, and Actual Official Applications".

Anyway, we're looking for folks with marketing experience too. There'll be more, but this is the next one for now.

Approximately 30% of all job postings are fake, with millions of ghost jobs making a tough hiring process even worse.

I remember years ago reading about an image recognition test where they tried to get a bot to distinguish dog breeds in pictures

It kept seeing huskies in pictures even without dogs in them

Turned out its training images always had huskies in the snow
Its pattern recognition thought snow = huskies
YouTube age-restricted a VTuber’s video for… hands. Luckily she won her appeal

Starbucks' CEO is paid $95.8 MILLION.

The median worker at Starbucks makes $14,674 a year.

Instead of recognizing its worker union, Starbucks writes off its union-busting expenses on its taxes.

That's why Starbucks workers are striking today.

I won't cross the picket line.

When I evacuated from the hurricane in 2005, the Red Cross offered us cash to help with expenses.

The Salvation Army offered us "a hot meal" which was just a smoked sausage soaked in cheap barbecue sauce with a stale slice of white bread we had to say how thankful we were while getting preached at.
I know it's a tad early but I know those bitches with the buckets will be out soon. Don't gove them a penny. The volunteers may not know but the salvation army is no ally and actively combative and harmful to many queer minorities especially during the holiday season

This is exactly what happened.
Kind of feels like the IOC expected for the study to say "yeah trans women are like the hulk somehow" and when it completely undercut the reasoning behind banning us. They have simply elected to ignore their own work.

we should do that
AI advocates have warned that if every author in the class action filed a claim, it would "financially ruin" the entire industry.
Authors celebrate “historic” settlement coming soon in Anthropic class action
Advocates fear such settlements will “financially ruin” the AI industry.

never let anyone tell you everyone was united in support of the Iraq War. I saw a guy on the news, on 9/11, on the street in NYC as the WTC burned behind him, telling the reporter "I just hope Bush doesn't start a war over this". We have literally always been here don't let people tell you otherwise
One of the strangest aspects of aging that they don't warn you about is watching as history gets rewritten right in front of your face and people 20 years younger than you confidently tell you about something you lived through and get it completely wrong.

why do people love this game? I had a pretty okay time with it. But, game of the year? What am I missing?

Regardless of the legitimacy of the original ban, it trickles out to everything it can. I'm not personally financially impacted by this, so I try not to complain, but I do hate these companies and it's despicable what they're doing to you and others. And anyone banned by paypal - get off venmo asap

Throwing my bit out there: I'm not a creator or business or anything, just a regular user. paypal banned me (still unsure why) and several months later so did venmo. I've never used venmo for anything but friends and family, but paypal bought them, so it must have transferred the ban by proxy.
