Profile alt text: a corgi holding a dog toy shaped like a medieval flail. A tuxedo cat glowers in the background.

Some tech dipshit. I have two corgis, a cat, fix rats, and one human child, in ascending order of how likely they are to eat me when I die.

It cannot be made clearer.

If you continue to support the Harry Potter franchise in any way, you are directly funding the removal of trans people's human rights in the UK.

For a good example of the type of garbage that genai is, and why it is so hard to make it do anything useful, google the quote "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it".

It "assumes" you're wrong and corrects you, b/c it mostly shows up as a response to the wrong version.

This is fascinating, and beautifully written
A Facebook post unearthed a legend: the lost MingKwai typewriter, designed by Lin Yutang in 1947, resurfaced in a NY basement. Hailed as a marvel yet dismissed as a failure, its rediscovery revives debates over innovation, identity, and what it means to be Chinese, writes @yangyangcheng.bsky.social.
Lost and Found: The Unexpected Journey of the MingKwai Typewriter | Made in China Journal
It began as an innocuous inquiry on Facebook. Nelson Felix, a resident of New York State, posted in the group ‘What’s My Typewriter Worth?’ about a curious find he made while clearing out the basement...

One way that anti-feminism has been conceptually collapsed into a stand-in for all other political grievances is through the feminization of the state, which is cast as a scolding mommy for doing things like requiring milk pasteurization.
he goes on and on about the “feminization” of society and a “maternal surveillance system” and it’s like, are you mad your mom told you to clean your room once?

This rules so much, I really love it
This was such a fun project, and we maybe kinda sorta worked Eric ragged with thousands of playthroughs worth of bug reports and tweaks, while also trying to hit the release date of our birthday.

The effort he put in on making physics feel natural and smooth is nothing short of amazing. Truly.

All of the EOs coming out of this administration are horrible but the anti-trans ones are especially revolting. As a parent, I reject this completely, it is vile. My child is simply not endangered by the existence of transgender people; not trans children, trans parents, trans teachers, none of them
1. Breaking News: Donald Trump has signed an executive order targeting trans youth and teachers in schools who teach for them.

It goes after "social transition" and threatens arrests.

I will go through line by line, as I have the last 3 nights.

My Cardigan Welsh Corgi, Maggie, hiding behind a trash can. She's so sneaky and she loves hiding to jump out at us, BUT she is blissfully unaware of her entire back half and doesn't realize that her ass is hanging out the other side of her hiding spot.

I love everything about this story: Tony Hawk posted a ‘70s era image of a Black girl skateboarding in the rain. Jeremy Markovich tracked her down.

Tony Hawk wanted to track down a mysterious skateboarder from 1979. We found her.
A photographer snapped a shot of Shaunda Shane skating down her street in Fayetteville when she was 10. How did the world's most famous skateboarder see that picture 45 years later?

My corgi Maggie loves to hide behind trees so that when I throw the ball for her she can pounce on it. She is very sneaky. But she forgets that she's, like, three feet long so when she's lurking behind a tree and peering at me through foliage, her entire ass is hanging out the other side.
