I always want accessible walking networks; I walk as much as I can and love being out on foot. But also: accessible walking networks are ACCESSIBLE PUBLIC TRANSIT NETWORKS. Failing to maintain pedestrian infrastructure kneecaps public transit.
Relying on solely adjacent property owners to clear sidewalks is a recipe for an inaccessible walking network.
