It’s not that we didn’t want the shutdown to end, it’s the fact that millions of people suffered throughout this shutdown and it was for nothing. That’s the most upsetting part.

With all respect to Obama, I can’t hear “don’t boo, vote” ever again. This is what Dems do days after voters deliver an absolute blue tsunami at the ballot box. We are voting. Our elected officials are failing us.
look I know being an engaged citizen IS the work of democracy but it is also the work of elected officials not to create situations where everyone has to be mobilized all the time to prevent them from allowing some kind of Dickensian horror on a Sunday night while you're in between loads of laundry

Burn the vest. Fick’s hoodie era starts today. On Wisconsin 🦡❤️🤍 #badgers
Luke Fickell when asked about him not wearing his signature T.E.A.M. vest tonight and if its absence might be a trend going forward:

"Might be now! Who knows?!"

Indicates that he was wearing it under his hoodie tonight. #Badgers

A family friend was telling us about what her husband shared about his experience in Broadview before he was deported back to Mexico. She's been sharing to friends and family because she's just in disbelief & horror what her husband told her. She wasn't able to talk to him until he was in Mexico.

California – this Election Day, vote yes on Prop 50.

California’s Prop 50 says that if Republicans are going to abuse the system to try and hang onto power, we’re going to counteract that abuse and create a level playing field in the midterm elections.

Make a plan to vote yes on Prop 50.

Brands are sacrificing reputation for short-term gains.

Disney raised prices again amid untamed inflation.
Taylor Swift released 30+ album variants.
American Eagle went full rage-bait.

Brands are missing the forest for the trees.

Brands have lost the plot.
Short-term wins are costing brands their long-term reputation.

If Dems ever get back in power, they must abolish ICE. Bare minimum. Our communities will be forever changed by the terror they’ve unleashed. There’s no way to earn back any trust. Scrap the whole thing.

MAJOR NEWS: @GavinNewsom signed SB 79, my bill allowing more housing near public transit — rail, subway, rapid bus.

It’s a huge step for housing in California. It’ll create more homes, strengthen our transit systems & reduce traffic & carbon emissions.

Thank you, Governor!

Yep. The enshittification of the parks has been ramping since 2020, but kneeling to a fascist is the last straw. They made it really easy to finally break ties.
One thing to understand about most “Disney Adults” is that the parks have only gotten more expensive and crowded while offering less ever since they reopened in 2020 so it doesn’t take that much more to make people stop going. And the theme park forums are rightfully pissed about Kimmel

I know this is going to sound stupid, but it’s actually true. Disney has been on a crusade of devaluing the visitor and worker experience at the park for well over a decade. It’s palpable how little regard they have for their customers and their workforce. I hope this is a tipping point.

Oh shit!! I think our saving grace is actually gonna be Iger’s ego. He cares so much about his legacy that he came back to clean up the Chapek mess. He’s not going to want cowering in front of a dictator to be his lasting legacy. It’s shallow, but it might be enough.
