As a reviewer, please don't overuse AI to write your grants. I understand the need for a quick editing/grammar check, but the structure of the paragraphs and the logic is absolutely awful. I can spot it in a nanosecond.

Excited to share my postdoc work @olzmannlab.bsky.social! We found lipid droplets, the cell’s lipid storage depots, are subject to oxidative damage and are protected by FSP1. Loss of FSP1 triggers droplet peroxidation and cell death, revealing a new layer of lipid quality control!

This article, in Nature, is called “Japanese research no longer world class — here's why”: www.nature.com/articles/d41...

But it could be called “Australian research in danger from underfunding & time fragmentation”.

This bit sounds eerily familiar👇

We’ve had nearly 3 years of review, review, review.

We need reviews, but it’s blindingly obvious that Australian research needs much greater Government investment while those reviews are done.

This was true 3 years ago. Still true now.

Why? Which ones?

We conducted an unbiased analysis of response biomarkers and found that hundreds of possible biomarkers collapse into five latent, orthogonal factors that underlie immunotherapy response.

You can't save your university by cutting. That's an illusion. You can only weaken it further. See: the logic of Mr George Osborne, 2010-c.2013. Every redundancy programme in fact takes you closer to the edge. How can there still be people out there who don't realise this?
