2wks after being admitted, I’ve been discharged.

Things are far from ‘better’ but I’m not critically ill like I was going in so that’s good, & I have some source of nutrition. Still didn’t get answers for my GI inflammatory markers being so high but 🤞🏼 my other team will help.

Glad to be home❤️

Update: a week after my 31st birthday I was taken back into hospital. Still here a week later.

Fed up, but still here and still persevering.

On my 10th failed cannula, extremely frustrated, and totally wiped out. I guess we’ll see what today brings.

So the currently level of hospital admissions from #COVID in the UK is 50x higher than hospital admissions from flu.

A direct result of @teamlabouruk.bsky.social drastically decreasing autumn/winter covid vaccinations for many elderly or at risk adults…

It will get worse. It won’t save money.

1) The Physios for ME team published a randomized trial on pacing with a heart rate monitor. It included 32 patients with ME/CFS and 15 with Long Covid.

Mum has hung the beautiful autumnal bunting she made me for my 30th birthday last October, up across my room. It looks so lovely!

In the firing line, as ever, are the UK’s hundreds of thousands of ME/CFS patients. As a practitioner once remarked, “the bastards don’t want to get better”. If there is one characteristic all the ME/CFS patients I’ve come across have in common, it is a desperation to get better.

I saw a pic of that lavish banquet next to a photo of people starving in Gaza and it just made me sick. Obscene how wealth is not shared out. Nobody should be starving in this day and age 😡😡

I detest the fact that people will retort with [insert moany voice] "£15m isn't enough to run the nhs for a day". My argument for that is the nhs is being mismanaged then, and £15m could go a hell of a way to fill food banks for millions of people, not just an elite few at a banquet.

Still can’t get over the fact that Trumps visit has cost the UK taxpayer £15million (again)

Yet we’re constantly told there is no public money. Not enough NHS funding. Reduced public services. Lack of social care funds. Children in desperate poverty. Elderly without heating in winter.

I can't get over how weird this photo is. I love that someone in England captioned it: "Darling, be a dear and DO click on the floor lamp."

Days are spent just getting by, bedbaths, medication, feed, sleep, sometimes a little bit of tv, and the occasional 5-10min visitor.

People forget how impactful this illness can be, and, what doesn’t kill you, doesn’t always leave you stronger, sometimes it leaves you weak, and shocked, and sad.

It’s been a rocky year, I spent most of the summer in hospital due to the progression of this disease/ these set of diseases and the malnutrition being allowed to get so critical… #MECFS

Yesterday was phenomenal! 160+ people came out and battled the wind to stand in a #mirrorbox to listen to my message, while looking at a place I love, & for many, that they do too.
I’ve been wiped out today from the messages & hype, it was so lovely having my family come home & tell me about it all
