Heads-up. Bing Webmaster Tools announced its new AI Performance reporting today. You can view total citations and cited pages. And then you can view "Grounding queries" and the number of citations per query. And there's a pages report broken down by citations.

Marta Szmidt interviewed me about the biggest mistakes publishers make when it comes to SEO.

You may be surprised by what my answer was.

Hint: It has nothing to do with SEO tactics, and all about how you approach SEO strategically.

ChatGPT, I feel, is more unethical than ever with crediting. @fedorovicius.bsky.social essentially answered a GA4 question for me in ChatGPT. But I would have never known it was him, and his hard work... When did the internet lose it's civility?

The "semantic gap" between image and text is gone. Google’s Gemini 3 Flash uses reasoning to zoom, inspect, and perform visual math.

@cloudflare.social utilise 'Content Signals' in Robots.txt files, and it isn't clear if bots acknowledge this field. Or if protocols for Robots.txts even allow for this adaptation. But it's compelling.

As I was digging into companies affected by recent volatility on Google yesterday, I noticed a pretty major pattern I felt I had to share.

Is Google finally cracking down on self-promotional listicle content?

See for yourself & let me know what you think:

I do hope information freshness will become the achilles heel after AI platforms have now stolen all the content, and as a result webmasters have put their guards up to future theft.

Watching clicks being dismantled as AI mode summaries of your content increases, really is rotten.

Hi @johnmu.com, I had a GSC International SEO question for you if I may?!:

I use multilingual sitemap annotations, and they work well. But is it a fault in GSC that international URL annotations in sitemaps can be often stated as a URL with 'no referring sitemaps detected'?

Jump cuts are killing your AI search efforts. AI models sample video at ~1 frame per second. If your info flashes too fast, the AI misses it and "hallucinates" your brand details based on competitors. Slow down your roll, quite literally. Want video optimization tips that work in 2026? Read this
