The legal justification the WH gave us for attacking Venezuelan boats in int’l waters without Congressional approval was weak, and exposes the WH and military staff to domestic and international criminal prosecution. They have not even sought to justify strikes within Venezuela.

They need to put the onus for impeachment squarely on the Republicans: this was a dangerous, illegal, unconstitutional act, and only the Republicans can do something about it. If they won’t fulfill their Constitutional obligations, we need Democratic majorities that will.

We don't know yet whether invasion of Venezuela was part of A) a quid pro quo w/RU and China, Trump gets the W Hemisphere, China gets Taiwan, RU gets Europe OR B) whether it's a bid to undercut China (possibly by paying lip service to A).
