A lot of the people you see arguing against food assistance are actually on food assistance. They work at Walmart or a convenience store and think they are deserving, but others are not.

We don’t graduate enough US doctors through medical schools because class sizes are small, too few, and it’s so expensive.
Now that boomers have/are retiring en masse this regime is punishing all of us by making it even harder and less attractive for doctors from other countries to come here

If ER wait times are going up, it is because we are making it less likely for people with medical skills to come to the US and stay here. Our medical system cannot function with only US citizens working in medicine.
